New from KOPF is the Model 1430M MRI version of our Model 1430 Heavy-Duty Stereotaxic Instrument for Cats and Monkeys. The entire unit is made of an engineering Thermaplastic. The unit has been developed with the assistance of Dr. Jay Schneider at Thomas Jefferson University.

The Model 1430M frame bars are 18.70mm square, 30.50cm long and have 100mm of calibration on either side of zero (ear bar center). The distance between frame bar center lines is 17.78 cm. The distance from ear bar center line (A-P zero) to the posterior portion of the cross bar is 12.70 cm.

The “U” frame assembly which includes one set of ear bar blocks is mounted to a 8″x14″ base plate. Model 1245M MRI Cat-Monkey Adaptor with specialized Model Ear Bars Model 1430-24 & 25 is included with this unit. The ear bars have hollow tips so that they can be filled with a fluid marker, such as Vitamin E or mineral oil for referencing. The tooth bar is vertically adjustable. The ear bars are 6.3mm square and have 50mm of calibration.

This unit is for use in a 45-cm diameter and can be disassembled easily so that just the frame portion can be inserted in an 11″ diameter head coil MRI.
